Privacy Policy

How Unimeditrek Private Limited collects, uses, protects and shares information across this website, our professional accounts, the PathConnect community and the Educational Writing Award.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to everyone who uses www.unilabequipments.com and its services: prospective and existing customers, website visitors, and registered members (students, laboratory technicians, doctors/pathologists) participating in Unilab Academy, the PathConnect community, the Educational Writing Award, comments and article submissions. The data controller is Unimeditrek Private Limited, New Delhi 110092, India.

2. Website & enquiry data

When you submit an enquiry, quotation, demo, dealer, service or tender request, we collect the details you provide — name, organisation, role, email, phone, city/state, requirement and any documents you attach — and the status of any resulting quotation or order.

3. Account data

To register for an account (Academy, PathConnect, the Writing Award) we collect your name, contact details, professional role and login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes — we never see your password). We record your reading history, submissions, comments, saved items and notification preferences to operate the service.

4. Professional verification & registration data

Verified roles require additional information: doctors/pathologists — medical registration/council number and qualification; technicians — qualification and, where relevant, employer/lab; students — institution, course and enrolment/ID proof. We use this only to verify eligibility and assign a verified badge. Registration numbers and ID proofs are stored with restricted access and are never published on public pages.

5. Article & award submissions

Articles, case studies, quality-improvement notes and Award entries you submit are held as private drafts until they pass review and you give explicit publication consent. We record the author, co-authors, references, declarations (originality, AI-use, conflict of interest) and review history.

6. Clinical information & patient de-identification

Content involving clinical material must be fully de-identified before submission — no patient name, ID/MRN, date of birth, address, or any information that could identify an individual. Every submission is screened for patient identifiers; anything that could identify a patient is redacted or the submission is returned for correction. Patient-identifying information is never published. Do not upload identifiable patient data to this platform.

7. Publication consent

Nothing you submit is published without your explicit, recorded consent. You retain authorship of your work; publication grants Unimeditrek a licence to display it on PathConnect/our platform. You may withdraw a piece from publication at any time (see Your rights).

8. Comments, questions & moderation

Comments and questions are moderated for patient identifiers, personal medical advice, harassment, advertising, unverified product claims, copyright infringement, misinformation and confidential institutional information. We may edit, unpublish or remove content that breaches these rules, and record moderation actions.

9. Bank & prize-payment data

For Award prize payments we collect the winner’s bank account details. These are encrypted at rest (AES-256), access is restricted to authorised finance staff, every access is logged, and full account numbers are never shown back in the interface. We use them solely to pay the declared prize.

10. How we use your information

  • To respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, process and support orders, and deliver installation, training, AMC/CMC and service.
  • To operate accounts, verification, submissions, publication, community features and prize payments.
  • To send only the communications you opted into — you can unsubscribe or withdraw any consent at any time.
  • To keep the platform secure and to comply with law.

11. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies for sign-in and security, and a privacy-preserving first-party analytics beacon that records page views and key actions (quote, call, WhatsApp, download) to improve the site. IP addresses used for analytics are one-way hashed, staff traffic is excluded, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we enable Google Analytics in future it will run under consent mode.

12. Sharing & third-party processors

We do not sell your data. We share it only with processors needed to deliver a service — for example payment gateways, logistics/courier partners and email/communication providers — under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. Card and online-payment details are handled by the payment gateway; we do not store full card details.

13. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected or as required by law and legitimate business/audit needs. Account, submission and verification data are retained while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards; you may request earlier deletion (see below).

14. Your rights

  • Access & correction — request a copy of, or correct, your data.
  • Withdraw consent — for marketing, verification or publication at any time.
  • Content removal — request that a published article, comment or review be taken down.
  • Account deletion — request deletion of your account and associated personal data (subject to legal/audit retention).

To exercise any right, contact our grievance officer below; we respond within a reasonable period.

15. Security

We use hashed passwords, encryption of sensitive fields, access controls and audit logging, and restrict access to professional, identity, patient and financial data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.

16. Minors & students

Student features are intended for learners at recognised institutions. If you are a minor, use the platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent, guardian or institution. We do not knowingly collect data from children outside an educational context.

17. Changes & contact

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Questions or requests: email sales@unimeditrek.com or write to the Grievance Officer, Unimeditrek Private Limited, New Delhi 110092, India.

This policy is provided for information and may be updated. For clarification, contact sales@unimeditrek.com or our team.
