Tissue-detection misses parts of the section
Tissue sections appear incomplete or fragmented in the digital image.
Where it usually appears: Typically observed during digital scanning of histopathology slides.
- Inadequate focus during scanning
- Improper slide preparation
- Inconsistent tissue thickness
- Incorrect scanning parameters
- Verify focus settings on the scanner
- Inspect the slide for physical damage
- Check for air bubbles under the cover slip
- Re-scan the slide with adjusted focus
- Re-prepare the slide if necessary
- Calibrate scanning equipment
- Ensure consistent slide preparation techniques
- Regularly maintain and calibrate scanning equipment
- Train staff on proper scanning protocols
