To dry sections adequately for adhesion before staining.

Slide warming table / oven

Procedure

Set the slide warmer/oven to the validated temperature.
Dry sections adequately (extend for fatty/bony tissue and IHC).
Use charged/adhesive slides for difficult tissue and IHC.
Verify and log the temperature.
