Reticulin fibres too faint
Reticulin fibres appear very faint or barely visible on the slide, making it difficult to assess tissue architecture.
Where it usually appears: Typically observed in liver, spleen, and bone marrow sections.
- Inadequate staining time
- Suboptimal reagent concentration
- Improper fixation of tissue
- Degraded reagents
- Incorrect pH of staining solution
- Verify staining time against protocol
- Check reagent expiration dates
- Assess tissue fixation quality
- Increase staining time
- Prepare fresh staining solution
- Adjust reagent concentrations
- Regularly calibrate and maintain equipment
- Store reagents properly
- Follow SOP for tissue fixation
