Where it usually appears: Commonly seen in routine H&E staining procedures.
- Excessive eosin concentration
- Prolonged eosin staining time
- Inadequate differentiation in alcohol
- Poor quality of eosin reagent
- Check the eosin concentration
- Review staining time logs
- Inspect the differentiation steps
- Dilute the eosin solution
- Reduce staining time
- Improve differentiation with additional alcohol washes
- Standardize eosin concentration
- Implement strict timing protocols
- Regularly check reagent quality
